What is Fenofibric? Fenofibric acid, also known as fenofibrate, is a medication used to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It belongs to a class of drugs called fibrates. Fenofibrate works by reducing the production of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and increasing the clearance of VLDL and LDL from the bloodstream. This helps to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in individuals with high cholesterol or triglyceride levels.
